Since I just released the official music for “With Love We Find Hope” yesterday, after recording the video on Friday, and editing the video over the weekend, I thought I'd start with this song.  “With Love We Find Hope” has probably the most unique songwriting experience of any song I've ever written.  I didn't actually write the lyrics down until 6 months after recording the song, when I published the lyrics to my old website.  I'll post the lyrics at the bottom here as well.  While I have 2 freestyle albums (“Put Down The Pen” and “Freestyle Fridays” - with the latter being a video album on YouTube), “With Love We Find Hope” is not a freestyle song.  Instead, I started singing the chorus one day.  “Such a touchy remote, with love we find hope, richer than c-notes, as our wings float on the wings of our spirit.  We can all feel it, and we can all hear it, in all of your lyrics.”  I kept singing the chorus, adding as I went along.  I'm sure I forgot some of the potential lyrics along the way while practicing the song.  Hopefully they weren't better than the actual lyrics.  

Because I didn't write the lyrics down before recording the song, I feel like this song is the most organic song I've ever created, with the most natural melodies I've ever created.  The song is very much a reflection of who I am.

I then wrote the music to fit the vocal melodies.  Since I am not classically trained, I didn't write down tabs, or notes.  I simply played each instrument, starting with the drums, if I remember correctly, and adding from there, trying to create melodies that fit the vocal lines as well as possible.  I do that frequently, so that wasn't exactly unique.  Though, I also often create the music first, and then write the lyrics to match the music.
